Ein Fehler bei der Signaturprüfung erlaubte das Prägen von 120.000 wETH ohne Deckung. Das Wormhole-Team erklärte am 03.02.2022, die Gelder seien wiederhergestellt und die Deckung aufgefüllt, Nutzer erlitten damit keinen Verlust. Für 2024 bis 2026 wurde kein weiterer Vorfall gefunden.
